About Me

Hi, I’m Toni! I am a trained Mind/Body Pain Recovery Coach, and mom of three based in Great Neck, NY. Several years ago, I personally traversed the challenging landscape of chronic pain which included countless doctor visits, as well as many failed medications and failed treatments. Because of my various pain symptoms and the anxiety surrounding them, I struggled in all aspects of my life, and could no longer engage fully in the life I once had. I ultimately discovered profound relief through this scientifically proven Mind/Body approach, guided by an extraordinary coach who taught me how to navigate this path.

Based on the teachings of Dr. Howard Schubiner and Dr. John Sarno, the transformative power of understanding the mind-body connection and the science behind it, as well as implementing the various techniques described below, not only alleviated my own pain, but ignited a passion to guide others on their healing journeys. My firsthand experience and success in eliminating multiple chronic symptoms including anxiety, enabled me to return to my active life, and in addition, fueled my commitment to empowering individuals to break free from the constraints of chronic pain and other symptoms, whatever form they may take. Through my understanding and education of what pain is and how it works, I am dedicated to sharing with you the liberating possibilities of this proven path for lasting well-being.

My Approach

Recovery is Possible!!! At the heart of my coaching practice is a personalized journey towards healing and empowerment. The process begins with a free consultation, and in this initial conversation we will conduct an assessment to determine if your symptoms can be successfully addressed with mind/body pain recovery therapy and if this is the right path for you. Next, we will explore your unique challenges and create a collaborative partnership in our one on one coaching sessions. Once aligned, we will delve into this program, which is designed to rewire our brains to reduce and cure chronic pain or other symptoms.

The program begins with learning that pain is a danger signal from the brain, and even though all chronic pain is real, the cause is often not structural or due to damage in the body. Sometimes an injury that initiated the pain heals, but the brain keeps producing the pain long after the injury has healed and it turns chronic. Other times, emotions, trauma or stress can activate your nervous system, which then can send pain signals or symptoms to the body. These symptoms can then become “learned” by the brain which makes them chronic. The rewiring process includes exploring and processing emotions, somatic tracking, meditations, and various other brain training techniques to '“unlearn” the pain or symptoms.

Drawing inspiration from my own success with this scientifically proven approach, the process unfolds as a flexible and holistic strategy, adapting to your evolving needs. Together, we will navigate the path towards resilience and a life liberated from chronic symptoms.

How long does the process take to show results?

The duration varies for each individual as it depends on several factors, including the nature of your symptoms, your commitment to the process, and other individual differences. Many clients experience positive shifts early on, while others take a bit more time. The key is consistency and an open mindset, and we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.

Is Pain RecoveryTherapy suitable for all types of pain or symptoms?

This therapy is most effective for any type of chronic pain that has lasted longer than 3 months and has no clear structural cause. Whether the symptoms began with an event or injury or out of the blue, often there is no clear cause, and physician-ordered treatments may have been undesired or unsuccessful. Whether you have abnormalities on scans or labs, a diagnosis from a physician, or you have no tangible source for your symptoms, we have many ways to evaluate if your symptoms are likely to respond well to this type of therapy.

How are sessions personalized for individual clients?

My sessions are crafted based on your specific challenges, and where you are on your journey. Whether you are familiar with mind/body pain recovery therapy or it is completely new to you, we will begin at a place right for you.
